Fit Guide
White's boot lasts run large. This means most people should take a half size down from their natural shoe size, or Brannock measurement. On our highest arched lasts, a full size may be necessary, as the arch support shortens the overall length of the foot during wear. Construction
The hand-sewn stitchdown construction type is the lynchpin of our history, a process passed down from bootmaker to bootmaker since the beginning, way back in 1853. When hand-sewing a boot, our master bootmakers painstakingly last, welt, and bottom it by hand. Hand-lasting ensures a customized fit, hand-welting a durable and water resistant seam, and hand bottoming an all-leather arch that becomes more comfortable by the day.
Buying a White’s hand-sewn stitchdown boot is stepping into a long history of craft, dedication, and old-world quality that is increasingly rare, and enduringly valuable.
