Combining over two centuries of history, culture, design, and American manufacturing, we sat down with the team at Harley Davidson® to build a motorcycle boot that bolsters the steadfast quality of a White’s and the strong spirit of a Harley. Seemingly two worlds apart, this collaboration embodies the power of preserving history to carry on heirloom-quality manufacturing. We used our extensive knowledge of boot fit and construction and Harley-Davidson’s understanding of performance and timeless style to create a limited-edition motorcycle boot that’s entirely in its own class.

In the early 1900s, there were a handful of manufacturers bringing new life to storefronts with a fresh vision, unwavering innovation, and an insatiable drive to offer the best. While Otto White set up a shoe shop in Spokane, Harley Davidson® was 1,700 miles away in Milwaukee working out of the H-D Backyard Wood Shed. Both companies spent the next century reinventing the wheel to keep the bootjacks and lifts busy and their legacies alive. Surviving two world wars and the Great Depression, among several other socioeconomic impacts, one theme rang true: if you build a good product, people will come. With a focus on quality and an eye for style, both companies built a community of customers, a culture, that worked hard so they could revel in a good time.

Fast forward to the 21st century—the American worker still flies the White’s flag and road warriors around the world continue to bear the Harley patch with pride. Two legacies that won’t give up easily. After over a century of building, we’re coming together, joining forces, to offer two communities with a shared value in quality, the White’s Boots x Harley-Davidson® Engineer.

Based on our iconic Engineer patterns from decades past, it’s a nod to what’s worked, while still bringing in some style points that are hard to turn an eye from. We added solid brass hardware, a two-texture leather contrast with Black Roughout on the heel counter and pull loop and Black Smooth on the rest, and a customized White’s x Harley-Davidson® deboss stamp on the shaft and insole.

Style aside, the 6oz. American-tanned Seidel Leather out of Milwaukee, Wi., premium all-leather internal componentry, and unstructured toe box that provides a lower profile shape to White’s 1970 Arch-Ease™ Last, offers a level of comfort, durability, and performance that’s unmatched in the industry. Each material was selected with heirloom quality at the forefront. As the leather ages, wear will only enhance the character of the boot, and as the boot gets tested against long weeks and harsh conditions, the internal components will only mold and hold fast to the anatomy of the foot, not break down and slide like their synthetic counterparts.

Each one is built by the hands of our master bootmakers in Spokane, Washington using the Vibram® 2021 Outsole, because of its lightweight and high shock-absorbent properties, and the specialized White’s Stitchdown construction, which harnesses the full service of our rebuild offerings, while maintaining a sleek profile and high-touch ratio through hand-lasting and hand-bottoming the finish.
